Broad Street Children's Foundation was founded in 1996 as the Boys Home Foundation by former residents Patrick Kelly, James Kelly, and Jim Hingley of the Virginia Home for Boys. Our goal is to help change the way America cares for our children. We are dedicated to the support of children's homes that do an exemplary job of caring for and raising children who have found themselves deprived of a loving and nurturing home environment. Children who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves alone, abandoned, neglected, or abused.
Broad Street Children's Foundation supports self-sustaining children's homes across the United States that actively foster the development of strong, well-rounded children in their care.
Since the Foundation's founding, over $1,000,000.00 in grants have been donated to children's homes across the country. Additionally, through the Bill and Jackie Hazelgrove Scholarship Program, we have assisted a number of young people in continuing their education and working towards a college or vocational degree.
Today, the Broad Street Children's Foundation is continuing the dream of it's original founders through the second generation. Equally as dedicated to changing the lives of children in need across America and striving to break the cycle of abuse and neglect for other children and their families.
We strongly believe every child can succeed in life regardless of their circumstances. With your help, we can give children's homes across America the support needed to help end the generational cycle of poverty, abuse, and violence that affects so many children today. By supporting homes that lift children up, healing their wounds, and put them on the path to a brighter future. Support to help children heal, be educated, and grow to prepare them for a successful future as productive members of our society.
With your help, we can give children's homes across America the support needed to help end the generational cycle of poverty, abuse, and violence that affects so many children today.
Broad Street Children's Foundation is committed to faithful stewardship of every donation we receive. We take seriously our responsibility to spend every dollar you give efficiently. Your gift means that we will be able to assist Children's Homes across America so they may provide for the care of boys and girls in need.
Your gift means that we will be able to assist children's homes in all parts of the United States so they may continue to care for boys and girls in need of a home, love, and a future.
As part of the Grant Program, we develop relationships with each of the children's homes that request assistance with their programs. We not only try to provide the funds requested but also provide assistance to become more efficient in using their resources.
Broad Street Children's Foundation is dedicated to supporting children's homes that continue to do an exemplary job of caring for and raising children who have found themselves deprived of a loving and nurturing home environment. We support both boys' and girls' residential homes across the United States, which receive 25% or less of their funds from government sources.
"I Can Remember The First Night At The Home, I Was Laying Awake In Bed And I Was Just A Kid. One Of The Boys Said, 'Lonely Aren't You?' He Knew How I Felt, You Know, Yea, I Was Lonely. And He Said, 'We All Were, But Don't Forget That I'm Your Brother.'"
